About Us

At Operation 58, our mission is simple yet profound: Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Inspired by Isaiah 58:10, we are committed to bringing nourishment, hope, and healing to those in their greatest time of need—whether in the aftermath of a disaster or right here in our own communities. Through our mobile food kitchens and industrial smokers, we aim to serve hearty, protein-rich meals that not only fill stomachs but also restore dignity and remind people that they are not forgotten.

Our Story

Operation 58 was born out of a calling to serve others in their darkest moments. For over eight years, our family has been on the front lines of disaster relief, serving alongside organizations in the wake of hurricanes, floods, and other crises. But it was during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina that we saw a gap in the way we could help. We met families who couldn’t eat the meals being provided because of food allergies, and we realized that no one should have to choose between going hungry or risking their health in a time of crisis. That’s when we knew we had to do something different. Operation 58 is our answer to that call—a vision to provide safe, delicious, and comforting meals to everyone, no matter their dietary needs.

Our Vision

We envision a future where no one goes hungry in their time of greatest need. Our mobile food kitchens, equipped with industrial smokers, will serve up to 1,000 hot, hearty meals per day in disaster zones—meals like brisket, pulled pork, and chicken that nourish the body and soul. But our vision doesn’t stop there. We’re also committed to serving locally, partnering with churches, ministries, and children’s homes to feed the underserved and food-insecure in our own communities. Because hunger doesn’t only exist in the aftermath of disasters—it’s a daily reality for millions, and we believe everyone deserves a seat at the table.

Why We’re Different

While there are many incredible organizations doing vital work in disaster relief and hunger relief, Operation 58 is unique in our approach. Our mobile food kitchens and smokers allow us to serve large-scale, restaurant-quality meals in the most challenging conditions. And because we believe everyone deserves a safe meal, every dish we serve will be free from gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish—ensuring no one is left out. But what truly sets us apart is our heart. We don’t just serve food; we serve hope. Because in times of crisis, a warm meal can be a reminder that someone cares.
